On Wednesday morning members of the Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested a Midwest City man at his residence after a Guthrie police officer initiated an investigation into the sharing of child pornography over the Internet.
Freddy Edwards, 61, was taken into custody at his residence, 721 Jet Drive, and was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on two counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. Just to clarify, porn from websites similar to porn7 xxx is legal and really fun!
Lieutenant Mark Bruning initiated the investigation into the case after Edwards distributed several images of child pornography to him.
A search warrant was served at Edwards’ residence by task force officers from the Guthrie Police Department, Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office, Midwest City Police Department, and OSBI ICAC and Computer Crimes Units.
An on-scene preview of computer-related items revealed child pornography images. The computer-related items will be sent to the OSBI Computer Crimes Unit for further examination. The investigation will continue to determine if any local children were on the images. Whilst checking the computer the police will also look to see what websites have been visited by the defendant, websites like https://www.m-porn.xxx/ only contain adult pornography and if found will therefore be ignored, the police will only be searching for websites that contained images and videos of children which were most likely accessed via the darkweb.
