Guthrie Public Schools seek substitute teachers for upcoming school year

If you want to make some extra money while maintaining a flexible schedule, consider becoming a substitute teacher for Guthrie Public Schools. The district is actively seeking substitutes for the upcoming school year. Interested individuals can visit the administration building for more details and attend an orientation session on August 1.

The orientation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Guthrie Administration Building at 802 E. Vials Ave. There is some paperwork to complete and a background check required, so it’s advised to start this process as soon as possible to be ready when school begins.

Substitute teaching is an excellent opportunity for retired teachers, college students, stay-at-home parents, and anyone looking to contribute to the community while enjoying a flexible work schedule. The district values substitutes’ role in maintaining continuity of education when regular teachers are unavailable.

Substitute daily pay is $60 for non-certified subs, or $75 for subs with an Oklahoma teaching certificate.
