Guthrie Public Schools will be in distance learning for Friday, December 17 so all staff indicating a desire to receive a COVID vaccine booster may do so.
Many of our staff members have indicated a desire to receive the COVID vaccine booster shot,” Supt. Dr. Mike Simpson said in a press release. “Doing this in one single day allows us to minimize disruption to instruction and allows our staff the opportunity to receive the shot in a timely manner.”
The district says grab and go meals for anyone 18 and under will be available at Cotteral, Central and Charter Oak elementary schools.
Simpson added that the distance day will help the district in case a distance day is needed in the future months.
“This will give us a test run at distance learning as we approach the winter storm season.”
