The OK Thunder 10-and-under softball team took third overall at a national tournament this past week. The Guthrie team is the first team to compete in the national event for their age division.
Along with the team success, four players were named to the All-Star team. Those girls, include Madison Dwinell (catcher), Haley Gallo (shortstop), Ireland Riley (2nd base) and Rylee Bankston (1st base).
OK Thunder head coach Amber Coffman was selected to coach in the All-Star game, which was played in Arlington, Texas. Related article: Guthrie softball team invited to Youth Softball Nationals
The Youth Softball Nationals is the premiere youth fast-pitch softball event in the country. The Nationals is a week-long experience for kids 9 to 15 where teams have the opportunity for great competition, off the field fun and building memories.
