The Guthrie BlueJays scored three times each in the first and second quarters and the Jays defense proved once again to be dominant by holding the Southeast Spartans to just one first down in a 48-0 victory.
The Jays defense held Southeast to just 10 yards of offense, including negative 10 yards rushing. The lone Spartan first down came late in the fourth quarter.
On the season, Guthrie has shut-out three opponents and held another three opponents to six points.

The BlueJays (8-0, 5-0) got two rushing scores from running back Idae Alexander and quarterback Zane Maltz.
Alexander collected 114 yards on just 10 first half carries, including the Jays first two scores with runs of 2 and 8-yards. The senior has rushed over 100 yards in seven of the eight games on the year.
The defense added six points to the scoreboard when Christian Blassingame and L’liott Curry appeared were to collect a sack when the ball was ajar from the Southeast quarterback. The ball bounced into the end zone and was jumped on by Rowdy Reihs for the score. Listen to the F&M Bank Statement of the Game.
Leading 21-0 after the first quarter, Maltz scored on the next two possessions with runs of 14 and 57 yards.
Maltz, who was limited to playing in the first half, and the offense finished with 330 yards, including 265 on the ground, despite a short field throughout the night.
The final score of the half came on a 16-yard pass from Malttz to Chance Whitt to make it a halftime of 42-0.
In the second half both coaching staffs agreed to a running clock and held down the possessions between the two schools.
Second team quarterback Tanner Meredith scored the games final score with a 2-yard touchdown run.
Guthrie returns home for Senior Night next week when the host Carl Albert on Halloween night.
