St. Mary Catholic School and Guthrie Public Schools will join schools from around the world on Wednesday, Oct. 4 to celebrate International Walk to School Day.
Students from St. Mary Catholic School, Guthrie Upper Elementary School (GUES) and Fogarty will walk along-side with parents, teachers, community leaders and officers with the Guthrie Police Department.
Fogarty students will met at the First Christian Church parking lot, located at Warner and Ash streets, and begin walking at 7:40 a.m.
GUES students will take off from the Armory, located at Walnut and Logan streets, at 7:40 a.m.
St. Mary’s will begin their walk from Highland Park.
In addition with officers walking with the students, the Guthrie Police Department provided traffic control along the routes.
