Guthrie Tennis claims first place at Carl Albert Tournament

The Guthrie boys’ tennis team delivered a standout performance at the Carl Albert Tournament, securing a first-place team finish behind several impressive individual and doubles results.

In 1 Doubles, Drake Shelton and Caden Shipley led the way, capturing the championship with a dominant performance. The duo’s strong chemistry and clutch play helped secure the title.

Cayden Haynes put together a strong showing in 1 Singles, finishing as the runner-up after battling through a competitive field.

In 2 Singles, Bowen Ingram also claimed second place, adding valuable points to Guthrie’s overall team score.

The 2 Doubles team of Trenton Edberg and Ash Huskey rounded out the podium finishes, placing third in a highly contested bracket.

“These boys are greatly improving,” said head coach Mary Hudson, praising the team’s steady progress throughout the season.

With their first-place finish at Carl Albert, the Bluejays continue to build momentum as they prepare for upcoming tournaments.
