The Guthrie High School wrestling season did not start off as hoped when they traveled to Norman North on Tuesday night. The Timberwolves used their 6A muscles in a 60-12 win.
The ninth-ranked Timberwolves picked up four falls, three forfeits, three major decisions and two decisions to separate themselves from the Bluejays.
The lone win on the mat for the Jays came at the 120-pound match with Tyler Musil collecting a pin.
Guthrie will get back in the wrestling room and get set for the heavily competitive Perry Tournament of Champions on Friday and Saturday.
The next dual set for the 14th ranked Jays will be Jan. 5 when they travel to Kingfisher.
