Guthrie High School senior Brynlea Frick is taking her passion for dance to the next level, officially signing with the Oklahoma City University dance team. She celebrated the milestone with a special signing ceremony inside the GHS library, surrounded by family, school personnel, and classmates.
Frick will join the prestigious Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment at OCU, a program recognized as Oklahoma’s top college dance program by DanceUS.org and ranked among the nation’s best by multiple publications. The school emphasizes not only performance excellence but also core values such as respect, responsibility, and professionalism—qualities that have made OCU graduates highly sought after in the dance industry.
In addition to its strong reputation, OCU offers automatic merit-based academic scholarships and performance scholarships based on audition results. The program has also earned national recognition, with its Holiday Spectacular named “Best Dance Production” of 2023 by Broadway World.
Frick’s signing marks an exciting step in her dance career as she prepares to compete and perform at the collegiate level. With the support of her family and community, she looks forward to representing Guthrie and making an impact at OCU.
