The Oklahoma weather cleared out just in time for a sun splash Sunday afternoon for hundreds of children to take part in the Touch the Trucks event.
The Logan County Partnership organized the Touch the Trucks event this year by showcasing fire trucks, police cars, trolleys and motorcycles at the Logan County Fairgrounds.
Children were able to climb inside the vehicles and push all the buttons like the big boys get to do.
Along with all the toys to touch, hot dogs were given out with the help of a local grocer and Police Lt. Steve Mize. In addition, finger printing, face painting and an obstacle course gave the children plenty of options to participate in.
Earlier this month The Logan County Partnership was presented with a proclamation by Mayor Chuck Burtcher inside the Guthrie City Council chambers Friday morning to heighten awareness of Child Abuse Prevention Month.
