I-35 northbound shut down due to accident

Update at 8:14 p.m. — Power has been restored in Langston. Power remains out in Guthrie (2,804) and Coyle (358).

Update at 8:12 p.m. — OG&E responds to GNP with “We are assessing and will post estimated restoration times ASAP.”

Update at 8 p.m. — The interstate is now back open. One person taken to an Edmond hospital.

Update at 7:19 p.m. — Report of traffic now backed up four miles.

Update at 7:07 p.m. — The Guthrie ambulance is leaving the scene and back to the station. The fire engine remains on scene to block traffic for OHP troopers.

Update at 6:49 p.m. — Motorists letting Guthrie News Page they have been sitting in traffic for 30 minutes.

Update at 6:47 p.m. — Interstate traffic beginning to exit the highway and coming through Guthrie. Expect traffic delays.

6:30 p.m. — Guthrie Fire Department and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are on the scene of a four vehicle accident on I-35 at mile marker 155, which is in between the two Guthrie exits.

Currently, the northbound lanes are completely shut down.

Unknown injuries at this time, but a medical helicopter was canceled.
