Oklahoma Department of Transportation says they will narrow interstate traffic down to one lane on Tuesday.
Southbound I-35 will be narrowed to one lane at mile marker 149, two miles south of Seward Rd., from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday for ongoing surface repairs.
Motorists are advised to expect delays.
The northbound I-35 off-ramp to SH-33 (mile marker 157) at Guthrie was reopened on Monday morning. The ramp was widened to have dual traffic lanes as well as being resurfaced.
How long is the resurfacing to last? This article (and the one yesterday) implies that it is only for one day. Now, we are going on 2+ days? It is a significant delay at 7:00 in the morning.
The project is expected to last until this fall and has been ongoing for several weeks. Not a significant delay, but ODOT was informing everyone of the lane closure.
I-35 Southbound lane closures at Seward only started yesterday. I drive this road every weekday. I would invite you to be there around 7:00 tomorrow morning. It IS a significant delay and a hazard. Somebody is going to get rear-ended at highway speeds.
