An inmate in the Logan County Jail took a major step for a future after being released.
Sheriff Jim Bauman announced that an inmate was the first to take the General Equivalency Diploma Test recently.
Authorities say it is a major step forward for all citizens as they are trying to provide life skills to inmates to reduce the likelihood of repeat offenders.
While they have not received the results of the GED test, officials say they are optimistic of the results.
