Jason Foundation helping build awareness for “warning signs”

Bookmark and Share

On the day a 13-year-0ld Stillwater eighth-grader took his own life at his junior high school, many are now taking a much closer look at educational curriculums and training programs for students, educators/youth workers and parents.

One website that is helping with the growing concern is The Jason Foundation. The organization has programs help build an awareness of the national health problem of youth suicide, educate participants in recognizing the “warning signs or signs of concern”, provide information on identifying at-risk behavior and elevated risk groups, and direct participants to local resources to deal with possible suicidal ideation.
