Despite dropping two games last week in the Ardmore Holiday Festival without team leader Kentrell Brothers, the Guthrie boys basketball team remains in the top 10 in the latest Class 5A rankings.
Guthrie falls two spots to No. 10 and will defend their ranking this week against Noble and the McGuinness Classic, where the Jays will open with 6A’s Norman North Thursday evening.
Both losses in Ardmore for the Jays came to top 10 teams in 6A with newly 9th ranked Yukon and third ranked Midwest City. El Reno is the only other Suburban Conference team in the Top 10 at No. 9.
Booker T. Washington regains the top spot although they won last year’s state title and remains undefeated on the season. Ardmore falls one spot after losing two games in their tournament.
