A vehicle never had a chance Sunday afternoon once it became stuck on a railroad track in southwest Logan County.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office and Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the area of Camp and Bryant to the north for the accident at about 3 p.m.
Despite closed construction signs, a driver went around the warning barricades and drove onto the tracks. That is when the vehicle became lodged between the tracks with an oncoming train.
Luckily, the driver was able to escape the jeep before the train smashed into the vehicle.
The train remained on the tracks following the collision.
There were no injuries reported at the scene.
