Joe Voth has been named market president of BancFirst Guthrie, taking over day-to-day leadership of the bank as LaVerne Dowding transitions to market chairman, focusing on business development and customer retention.
Voth brings more than 19 years of financial experience to the role and will oversee the bank’s commercial and retail operations, customer experience, and financial services.
“Joe is a proven leader who embodies our mission, culture, and values,” said Pat Zimmerman, director of community banking at BancFirst. “Building on the foundation LaVerne Dowding established, he will continue strengthening our commitment to our customers and the Guthrie community.”
A lifelong Oklahoman, Voth grew up in Kremlin and graduated from Kremlin High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Oklahoma State University and a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma Christian University.
Voth is active in the community, serving on the advisory board for Mercy Hospital North Region. He is a member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association and serves as a deacon at Kingfisher First Baptist Church. His professional affiliations include the Risk Management Association and the Risk Management Society.
Voth and his wife, Kayla, have three children: Lily, Hunter, and Hope. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and coaching youth baseball and softball.
“I am honored to step into this role to lead BancFirst Guthrie,” Voth said. “I look forward to working with our team as we continue to serve our customers and invest in the people and businesses that make this area special.”
