The Guthrie Junior cross country teams took off and competed in Ponca City on Thursday. Once again, a Bluejay came away victorious.
Trevor Sallee was the first runner to cross in the Ponca City Meet to claim the top prize. Last week, in the first race of the season, Sallee captured top honors in Kingfisher.
For the girls team, Emma Christian paced herself for a fourth place finish.
Tori Wells was not to far behind in 15th place.
“Both the boys and girls teams did a great job and are improving everyday,” head coach Bryan Dearing said.
