Juvenile remains critical after being shot in the face

A 15-year-old male remains in critical condition Monday morning after he was shot in the face early Saturday morning.

InvestigationThe Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 9600 block of E. Waterloo Road, in the Whispering Oaks mobile home park, just before 12:30 a.m. in response to a report of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face.

Upon arrival, the Guthrie Fire Department reported the juvenile having a pulse. The victim was able to talk to medics throughout treatments at the scene.

He was transported to OU Medical Center by air ambulance.

There were no adults at home at the time of the shooting and Captain Richard Stephens says the investigation is ongoing, and says it appears to be an accidental, self-inflicted wound.
