The Guthrie Lady Jays tennis team took second place in their annual Guthrie BancFirst Tennis Tournament on March 15 at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center. Meanwhile, the Bluejays captured two consolation champions in the same tournament on the following day.

In the first round she defeated Edmond Santa Fe 6-2, 6-1
In the next round she lost to Shawnee 6-4, 6-3
In the 3rd place match she defeated Edmond North 6-1, 6-3
#2 Singles Heidi Kuruvilla placed 2nd
In the first round she defeated Midwest City 6-4, 6-2
In the second round she defeated Shawnee 6-2, 6-2
In the finals she lost to Edmond Santa Fe 6-2, 6-3
