Lady Jays tennis takes second in Duncan

The Lady Jays tennis team took second place behind the host team Duncan in the Duncan Southern Invitational Tennis Tournament held on April 12. 

Andy Hartley boys #1 Singles placed 2nd
In the first round he defeated Duncan JV 6-0, 6-3
In the second round he defeated Alec Wharton from Piedmont 6-1, 6-0
In the finals he lost to Duncan 6-1, 6-4

Brandon LaMarche boys #2 Singles placed 3rd
In the first round he defeated Lawton 6-1, 6-0
In the next round he lost to Piedmont 6-4, 6-0
In the match for 3^rd he defeated Chickasha 6-0, 6-0

Boys # 1 Doubles Adam Beery and Dakota Leach placed 5th and won consolaltion
In the first round they lost to Duncan
In the second round they defeated Duncan JV 6-0, 6-0
In the match for 3^rd they defeated Lawotn MacArthur 6-0, 6-2

Boys #2 Doubles Joe Kuruvilla and Jacob Ventris won consolation
They lost to Piedmont in the first round 6-0, 6-0
In the second round they lost to Duncan 6-1, 6-2
In the final round they defeated Lawton

#1 Singles Cheyenne Royal placed 5th and won consolation
In the first round she lost to Piedmont in three sets 1-6, 6-2 10-6
In the second round she defeated Lawton MacArthur 6-0, 6-1
In the third round she defeated Lawton Eisenhower

#2 Singles Heidi Kuruvilla placed 4th
In the first round she defeated Lawton MacArthur 6-3, 6-2
In the second round she lost to Duncan 6-4, 4-6, 17-15
In the third place match she lost to Piedmont 6-3, 6-1

#1 Doubles placed 2nd  Jillian Chappell and Carissa Mathena
In the first round they defeated Lawton 6-0, 6-0
In the second round they defeated Lawton Eisenhower 6-2, 6-2
In the finals they lost to Duncan 6-2, 6-2

#2 Doubles Sarah Howells and Ryan Robbins
In the first round they defeated Lawton 6-0, 6-0
In the second round they defeated Lawton Eisenhower 6-2, 6-0
In the finals they lost to  Duncan 6-2, 6-0
