The president of a local university has announced that she is planning on resigning at the end of the year.
JoAnn Haysbert, the president of Langston University, announced her plans during a faculty luncheon at the Langston campus.
Her resignation will be effective after the fall semester.
Haysbert says she is planning to take a position as executive vice president at Hampton University in Virginia.
Haysbert was named the college’s 15th president in 2005.
