LCSO encouraging residents to register their storm shelter; download LCSO mobile app

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office has implemented a new storm shelter registration for residents on their mobile app.

Logan County residents can now complete a form and tell them where their shelter is on their property in the event of an emergency.

Det. Greg Valencia says the information will be used during rescue efforts to assist patrol deputies and local fire departments in ensuring the safety and welfare of their residents. Related article: Register your storm shelter with the Guthrie Fire Department

Logan County residents can also use the following link to register their storm shelter if they do not have a cellphone.

Residents can download the LCSO mobile app. Text “Logan” to 95577 to allow for emergency texts and notifications to be sent.
