LCSO investigating shooting in south county; victim shot in the face

Investigators and deputies with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting in southern Logan County. The victim suffered a gun shot wound to the face on Sunday morning.

Deputies responded to 517 Rock Creek Drive, which is located to the north of the intersection of Charter Oak and Broadway, at 10:18 a.m.

Upon their arrival, a witness said one person had been shot and the suspect had left the scene approximately 20 minutes before deputies could arrive.

Along with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, deputies searched the area for the suspect with weapons drawn. The suspect was identified as a Hispanic male wearing blue jeans and a brown button up shirt.

The male victim reportedly drove himself 2.6 miles to the Oak Cliff Fire Department. He was then transported to a Oklahoma City hospital.

No information was given at the scene on the victim’s condition.

A search warrant is being requested to search the home. Deputies were seen interviewing neighbors to see if they have any information on the case.

At least one person was taken to the Sheriff’s Office for further questioning.
