The Guthrie Noon Lions Club will be hosting a Mobile Health Screening Unit during the annual Summer Streets program, August 13 from 6 – 8 p.m.
Steve Gentling, the project director for the Lions stated, “The Health Screening is free to all citizens and consists of seven specific testing stations inside the $250,000 45 foot trailer. The screening tests are: Glaucoma; Visual Acuity; Cholesterol; Blood Pressure; Blood Sugar (diabetes); Bone Density; and Lung Functioning (spirometer). It is a great opportunity to have a quick check of these health elements and it is free.”
Daniel Gustafson, Lions Club President, noted “We are so excited to be a part of the healthy living focus of Summer Streets and glad to be able to provide this mobile screening unit which travels throughout the state each year providing this health service to all citizens. The Lions Club feels this is just another way of providing service to our community!”
The unit will be set up on West Harrison, between 1st Street and 2nd Street.
