Logan County 4-H members shine at 104th State Roundup in Stillwater

Eleven Logan County 4-H members showcased their leadership, skills, and dedication during the 104th Oklahoma State 4-H Roundup held July 22–25 on the campus of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.

The four-day event brought together 4-H youth from across the state for competitions, workshops, awards, and celebrations of the past year’s accomplishments. Logan County’s delegation participated in a variety of contests and activities and returned home with numerous honors.

To kick off the week, members enjoyed a night of dinner and bowling to foster connections among fellow county delegates. On Wednesday, Jace Taylor and Jimmy Ferguson competed in the Natural Resources contest, with Taylor earning first place. The same day, Logan County members also took on leadership roles as workshop presenters. Gracie Ferguson and her mother, Brandie, taught a session on wildcrafting, while Bridger Arrington led a session on agricultural advocacy.

Thursday’s events included additional workshops and recognition ceremonies. Several Logan County members received scholarships and awards for their achievements:

  • Audrey Allen – Brady Benson Memorial Scholarship
  • Austin White – Graduating Senior Scholarship and 4-H Centennial Scholarship
  • Isabella (Bella) White – Graduating Senior Scholarship
  • Bridger Arrington – 4-H Hall of Fame Award
  • Megan Gibson – Griffith Family Community Service Scholarship, Lindsay and Lindsey Sheere Scholarship, and Oklahoma 4-H Essay Contest winner
  • Luke Allen and Austin White – Inducted into the 4-H Key Club

Leadership roles were also a highlight. Bridger Arrington served as the Oklahoma 4-H State President throughout the week, and Jimmy Ferguson was elected Northeast District Representative. Ferguson was also recognized as a State Shooting Sports Ambassador and a State STEM Innovator.

The Logan County 4-H members who attended were Audrey Allen, Luke Allen, Bridger Arrington, Jimmy Ferguson, Gracie Ferguson, Gabby McLemore, Jace Taylor, Bella White, Natalie Mitchell, Josephine Major, and Allie Booth.
