Logan County Basic Reserve Academy graduates 18 new reserve officers

The Logan County Basic Reserve Academy officially graduated 18 students Saturday morning at Meridian Technology Center’s Guthrie Campus, marking the completion of Reserve Peace Officer Certification for cadets representing eight different agencies.

All 18 graduates are now certified reserve peace officers and will return to their respective agencies to begin additional field training. The class completed the academy with a combined average score of 94 percent.

Sheriff Damon Devereaux swore in the graduates. Assistant District Attorney Matthew Adams also congratulated the graduates.

Special recognition was given to Captain Bryce Brown, who organized and directed the academy, along with several instructors who traveled from across the state to provide training throughout the program.
