The Logan County Historical Society (LCHS) has announced their fall programming, which will include a look at the musical history of the county and an additional category for the Foucart Awards.
Join the LCHS at the Territorial Museum on Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. as they explore the county’s rich musical history. The program will be presented by Amy Loch, Executive Director of the LCHS. Music transcends time and place helping to bring back memories from years past and creating new ones for the future. The presentation will include stories and imagery of music from the last 125 years and clips of songs both loved and sometimes forgotten.
The annual Foucart Awards will be held on Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Territorial Museum. The Foucart Awards have been given out for over 10 years to multiple property owners who have gone above and beyond in preserving their piece of history.
This year the historical society has added a new category to acknowledge property owners whose significant historic preservation projects are in progress.
“Our goal is to draw attention to the extensive time commitment for historic restoration projects,” Loch said in a press release.
Property owners will be eligible for a Foucart Award plaque upon completion of their project.
