Logan County has felt its fair share of earthquakes, but in an 11 hour span the county was shaken by 11 registered quakes in the same general area. Two of those registered at 4.5 and 4.3 and shook people right out of bed.
According to the United States Geological Survey, a 4.3 quake struck at 1:51 a.m. The epicenter was near the town of Marshall, 13 miles north of Crescent and 20 miles NNW of Guthrie.
The smallest of the registered quakes were 2.7 and 2.8 in magnitude.
The largest quake (4.5) hit at 9:59 a.m. and was 2.3 miles deep.
Several residents hit social media and Guthrie News Page to report the shaking. No major damage or injuries have been reported at this time.
