Logan County man arrested after barricade and multiple incidents across two counties

A Logan County man is facing serious charges after law enforcement in two counties responded to multiple incidents involving threats, gunfire, and a tense standoff.

The situation began Wednesday evening in southern Logan County when deputies responded to a disturbance near the intersection of Western and Simpson Road. A family member reported that 40-year-old Tony Ramos had threatened another family member, driven through the yard doing donuts, and damaged a fence.

Deputies from both Logan and Oklahoma counties responded to the residence, but Ramos fled the scene before contact could be made.

The following morning, the case escalated in Warr Acres, where Ramos was located.

Authorities say he barricaded himself inside a vehicle in front of a home near Purdue Street and Northwest 16th Street. The situation drew a heavy police presence, including tactical units from the Oklahoma City Police Department.

According to reports, Ramos was firing a gun in the neighborhood, prompting staff at a nearby school to call 911 after hearing gunshots. As the standoff unfolded, an OCPD tactical vehicle, commonly referred to as a BearCat, arrived on the scene. Ramos then drove his vehicle into the home’s garage, where he remained for over 90 minutes.

Officers deployed gas in an attempt to end the standoff. Eventually, Ramos exited the garage with his hands up and was taken into custody after officers used a stun gun.

Later that day, a protective order was issued against Ramos in Logan County.

According to the Oklahoma County JailTracker, Ramos was booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center on two felony charges: assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and pointing a firearm. He is being held on a $300,000 bond.

As of Sunday afternoon, Ramos remained in custody and is expected to be formally arraigned by an Oklahoma County judge as early as Monday.
