A new addition outside the Guthrie Public Library is now open for the community to enjoy, thanks to the dedication and generosity of the Logan County Master Gardeners.
The Greater Guthrie Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate The Pavilion, a beautiful new structure donated by the Master Gardeners and located at the front of the library. The project is the latest example of the group’s continued mission to enhance public spaces and promote gardening throughout Logan County.
The Logan County Master Gardeners are certified volunteers under the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service and receive specialized horticulture training from Oklahoma State University’s state and county specialists. Their work spans educational outreach, community beautification, and helping residents with gardening needs and questions.
“This project is another testament to their commitment to building a greener, more vibrant community,” said Chamber officials during the event.
From workshops and flowerbeds to shade structures and expert advice, the Logan County Master Gardeners continue to make a lasting impact throughout the community.
