Bakers of all ages and experience levels are invited to show off their skills later this month as the Logan County Oklahoma Home and Community Education groups host their annual OHCE Bake Show.
The event is set for Saturday, March 28, at the Logan County Extension Office, located at 215 Fairgrounds Road. The bake show is open to all Logan County residents and will feature multiple divisions, including OHCE members, open class adults, youth (intermediate and junior), and Logan County 4-H participants.
Participants can enter a variety of baked goods, such as yeast breads, sourdough items, quick breads, cakes, cookies, candies, and pies.
Entries will be accepted from 8:30 to 10 a.m., followed by judging from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The public will have an opportunity to view the exhibits from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with an awards presentation to follow once judging is finalized.
Cash prizes will be awarded for top entries, and all exhibits will be released after the awards ceremony.
Organizers say the event is designed to celebrate the tradition of home baking while offering a chance for participants to learn from one another and share their talents with the community.
Entry forms and tags are available at the Logan County Extension Office and must be completed before entry.
