Logan County recognizes four employees with Safety Awards

Logan County acknowledged four employees on Thursday morning with their annual Safety Awards. In total, the four combined for 100 years of on the job with no incidents.

Emergency Manager David Ball recognized Patricia Slater, Wayne Cutter, Michael Metcalf and Greg Trecek with the awards at the Board of County Commissioner’s meeting.

The Safety Awards are given out by the Association of County Commissioner’s of Oklahoma (ACCO).

Slater, who just recently retired from the Court Clerk’s Office was given a certificate for 35 years.

Cutter, who serves as a District 3 road grade operator, accepted a 25 year certificate.

“That’s amazing,” District 1 County Commissioner Marven Goodman said of being a road grader for that long and not having an incident.

Mike Metcalf, with the Assessor’s Office, and Trecek, with District 2, each received 20 year certificates.

“You guys have always done the right thing. We are very grateful,” Ball said.
