The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide reported Wednesday afternoon in southern Logan County.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 2:15 p.m. to a reported fight in the 9000 block of Treviso Trail, which is inside the Cascata Falls neighborhood. Upon arrival, two juveniles were separated and detained.
Investigators say one of the juveniles reported that the other juvenile stated he had killed his mother and placed her body in a trash container. Deputies subsequently located a deceased woman inside a Waste Connections polycart at the residence.
The investigation remains in the early stages. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been requested and will lead the investigation.
No additional details have been released at this time. Authorities say more information will be provided as it becomes available.
