The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a winter weather advisory for much of the state, including Logan County. The advisory will remain in effect from 6 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Saturday.
The storm will pack a punch with cold temperatures and the potential of ice.
The cold front could bring freezing rain to the county from late Thursday night and early Friday morning. Light freezing drizzle is possible into Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service says ice accumulation near one-tenth of an inch could fall on trees and power lines. Mix that with the winds havoc could take over with some power outages.
Temperatures are expected to be in the 30’s on Friday, but wind chills will have it feeling like 12 to 20 degrees.
Rain remains in the forecast on Sunday.

I understand that our town is all football all the time, and that’s great, it’s why I live here. However I wish they would reschedule the game and not risk the lives of our players and cheerleaders.
