Logan County hosted its first-ever Dairy Education Day and Homemade Ice Cream Contest, drawing a strong turnout and plenty of smiles on a day dedicated to learning and sweet treats.
The Southwest Mobile Dairy Classroom kicked things off with an interactive session that highlighted the health benefits of dairy, introduced the types of dairy cattle, demonstrated how to care for them, and even taught attendees how to milk them.
Local youth participated by setting up educational booths covering a variety of dairy-related topics, including healthy dairy recipes, butter making, dairy breeds, different types of cheese, and the science behind ice cream.
