Guthrie High School senior Luke Lyons signed to continue his wrestling career at Northern Oklahoma College on April 7 inside the Guthrie High School library. Lyons was joined by family, coaches, teammates, and friends for the celebration.
A standout for the Bluejays, Lyons was a state qualifier, SOI finalist, and a Mid-America placer. He is expected to compete at 149 pounds next season for the Mavericks.
Northern Oklahoma College reinstated its wrestling program in the fall of 2024.
“We are excited to re-establish the wrestling program at NOC,” said Alan Foster. “Northern wrestling has had a great tradition of quality and success. We are thankful for the regents’ support as well as other community members in making this a reality.”
