Logan County is one of 18 counties that the state of Oklahoma is requesting for a major disaster declaration from the federal government following the Thanksgiving ice storm.
Gov. Mary Fallin made the announcement on Thursday.
Logan County Emergency Manager David Ball says if the assistance is approved from the Nov. 25 ice storm, federal funding would be available to assist cities, towns, counties and rural electric cooperatives.
“This particular assistance would not include individuals,” Ball said.
