An Arkansas man was arrested Wednesday evening after he struck an oncoming vehicle on Highway 33 and sending two to the hospital.
The man attempted to turn east onto the highway from Cimmaron Blvd (entrance and exit that leads to the Best Western) when he failed to yield to an oncoming blue Avalance and made impact in the turning lanes for both directions.
The crash occurred just after 7 p.m.
The man was arrested for driving under suspension along with two other outstanding warrants.
His named was not disclosed at the scene.
The identity of the victims in the Avalanche were not disclosed, but a mother and daughter were taken non-emergency to the hospital. They had complaints of neck and back pain.
