Man dies after being found not breathing in front of school

A man died at Mercy Logan County Hospital after he was found unresponsive in front of a school building on Thursday morning.

Guthrie EMS was dispatched to Cotteral Elementary just after 10:30 a.m. with a report of a male outside the school in a pickup truck not breathing.

Before paramedics and officers with the Guthrie Police Department could arrive to the scene, a teacher took the man out of the truck and began CPR.

The male was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Although not confirmed, the man is believed to have suffered a heart attack, according to witnesses at the scene.

No other details were released at the scene.
