A man remains inside a Logan County jail cell after being charged with first-degree rape, adding to an identical charge in another Oklahoma county.
The investigation began last August when investigators from the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office reported that 24-year-old Holden Clayton had posed as a 13-year-old boy to meet his victims. According to reports, he used this deceptive tactic multiple times.
Court documents reveal that Clayton met a 13-year-old girl who had been reported as a runaway. A family member tracked the girl’s phone to Yukon, where police eventually pulled over the vehicle she was in. Clayton admitted to investigators that he met the girl through a social media app and had sexual intercourse with her before traveling back to Yukon. The alleged act was reported to have happened in Logan County.
Further investigation uncovered that Clayton stated he had met three additional girls, aged 13 to 16. Additionally, he told investigators he possessed explicit photos and videos of minors ranging from 8 to 16 years old.
In January, Clayton faced a rape charge in Comanche County. He was released on a $150,000 bond with strict conditions, including no contact with the victim, no internet or social media access, maintaining full-time employment, and wearing a GPS ankle monitor.
Last week, his bond was increased to $250,000 by a Logan County judge, maintaining all the conditions imposed by Comanche County. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 6 at 9 a.m.
