An early morning shooting sent one man to the hospital early Saturday morning in Langston. The same weekend Langston University was celebrating Homecoming.
Guthrie News Page first reported the shooting at about 1:30 a.m. Emergency crews responded to an altercation outside the Scholars Inn apartments on the school’s campus.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown says Cameron Hishaw, 22, who was air-lifted by Eagle Med, was shot in the leg during a verbal and physical fight involving several people.
The gun shot wound was reported between the hip and knee and appears not to be life threatening.
No arrests have been made in the case.
Langston Police was assisted by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the Guthrie Fire Department.
