All nine counts are classified as felonies and is punishable by imprisonment from two to seven years if found guilty.

A 17-year-old male, who joined Ellis on the night, was also arrested for possession of stolen property and for second degree burglary. After being booked, the juvenile was turned over to his mother and Juvenile Services.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Ellis was taken into custody the following day after several homeowners reported their vehicles had been broken into and that items had been taken. Items including: cash, purses, wallets, keys, watch, cell phone cords, sunglasses, perfume and flash drives.

After taken into custody, Ellis agreed to show a deputy exactly which vehicles he had broken into by driving him around the addition.

Several residents were able to get some of their items that were either discarded or held in the possession of the two males, but some items were not recovered including cash.

Ellis was formally arraigned on Friday in front of a Logan County judge and bond was set at $20,000. He is scheduled to be back in court on July 25 at 9 a.m.
