Man suffers knife wound; woman taken into protective custody

A man was stabbed twice allegedly by his wife on Tuesday afternoon on Guthrie’s south side.

Officers with the Guthrie Police Department responded to the 5300 block of Primrose Ln. for an apparent stabbing. Once they arrived, they found a male victim in the front yard and the woman and kids locked inside the home.

Officers attempted to get inside the home, but were unable to gain immediate access. Once officers forced their way inside they took the female into protective custody.

The victim was cut on his side and elbow. He was treated at the scene by the Guthrie Fire Department, but refused medical transport.

There were no injuries reported to any of the five children.
