STILLWATER, Okla. – Over 400 students from Meridian Technology Center will be recognized for completing their training during the school’s upcoming graduation.
Meridian will hold a graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 11 at 6 p.m. at Stillwater High School’s Pioneer Stadium.
In addition to students who are completing their career training, Meridian will recognize students who have maintained high academic standards throughout the school year and are members of the National Technical Honor Society, the Leadership Class, CareerTech Student Organization contest winners and Outstanding Students from each program area. Students who have recently passed their high school equivalency exams will also be recognized.
A live stream on Meridian’s Facebook page will be available for those unable to attend the ceremony. For more information on Meridian’s graduation ceremony, visit meridiantech.edu/graduation.
“Student success is something we are proud to celebrate,” said Superintendent/CEO Dr. Douglas Major. “Students who complete their career training at Meridian continue to employment or higher education at a rate of more than 90 percent. Whether students are career or college bound, we know their decision to attend Meridian is a meaningful step on their journey to success, and we are excited to share this moment with them.”
Students attending Meridian can choose from more than 20 programs. High school students living in the Meridian district attend tuition-free in either a morning or afternoon session and training takes approximately two years. Adults can attend full-time or part-time and typically complete programs in one or two years.
