STILLWATER, Okla. – Meridian Technology Center recently named Justin Hazzard Director of the Center for Business Development.
The Center for Business Development is dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs through networking, education, consulting and business incubation services. Assistance is available in various areas such as marketing, product planning, international business and writing business plans.
Hazzard was previously a foreign trade advisor and small business consultant at the Oklahoma State University Small Business Development Center, International Trade Center. While at OSU he worked closely with small business owners and executives to help them expand their businesses to international markets.
“Justin has experience working with small businesses at the local and international level,” said Meridian Superintendent/CEO Dr. Douglas Major. “He has knowledge in new business development, business planning and organizational strategy. His expertise will be an asset to tenants in Meridian’s incubator and to entrepreneurs throughout the district.”
Meridian’s Center for Business Development is one of 40 certified incubators statewide. It was established in 1997 and has assisted nearly 60 startup companies since it opened its doors. The Center currently has 8 incubator clients in residency and in 2013 created nearly 80 jobs in the Meridian district.
Meridian Technology Center is a career and technology training center located in Stillwater, Okla. The center has more than 70 career majors and offers a wide variety of evening personal and professional development courses and certifications for many diverse career fields. Meridian also offers services to businesses in need of training and development. Each year approximately 11,000 students come to Meridian from all areas of business and industry.
