Updated on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 9:02 a.m. — A family member has found Frank alive and not far from where he went missing. He has been found alive in the woods stuck in briars. Logan County deputies are now arriving on the scene.
Firefighters are going to need to cut around the briars with a chainsaw to free him.
9:14 a.m. — EMS has arrived on the scene. The man is reported to be dehydrated and hungry but is alert.
9:28 a.m. — Frank has been cleared from the heavy brush and is being transported to the hospital to receive treatment.
9:36 a.m. — Deputies believe Frank was trying to get back home when he became stuck in the brush. Footprints (from yesterday’s search) were found today where Frank was located. Deputies will speak with Frank after medical care to see if he can recall what happened.
Updated on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023 (1 p.m.) — Deputies are now expanding their perimeter in search of a missing man.
Deputies will move from foot to patrol units in hopes of finding the man.
The new perimeter has been expanded east to Westminister Road, west to Pine St., and north to Seward Road.
Sheriff officials are asking that residents check their garages, sheds, and any other outbuildings to see if the man is sheltering himself from the weather.
Updated on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023 (9:30 a.m.) — The search for Frank, a missing elderly man, continues on day two.
Logan County deputies and Woodcrest firefighters called off the search Monday evening at around 8 p.m. Friends and family members searched throughout the night.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office started their second search Tuesday morning at 9:30.
Deputies will begin a grid search in the heavily wooded areas behind his house.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing elderly male.
The man who answers to Frank or Frankie was last seen in the Midwest and Charter Oak area. He was seen walking eastbound on Charter Oak from Midwest, wearing a camo long-sleeve shirt, camo pants, and camo slip-on shoes.
