Two motor homes were a complete loss after they were engulfed with flames early Wednesday morning.
The Woodcrest Fire Department responded to Pioneer RV Park and Grocery, on Seward Road near Pine Street, at around 1 a.m. to two motor homes filled with flames and smoke. The Guthrie Fire Department was called in to assist.
It is unknown how the fire were started, but a nearby neighbor says he was awoken by the inferno just steps away from his motor home. Fire crews were able to save his home.
Both structures were a complete loss.
One owner whose home was destroyed was not home at the time while his neighbor was able to get out of his home.
There were no injuries reported at the scene.
I know the owner of one of these tralers. He was awoken by a neighbor banging and yelling at his door. When he got up and and outside he saw the neighbors trailer ingulfed and his on fire and quickly spreading. He lost everything he owned except a pair of sweats and sandles.Including his home. He didnt have insurance on his trailer and the neighbor whos trailer started the fire had insurance, but they say it doesnt cover his trailer even though his trailer was to blame. Now my friend is homeless due to this neighbors faulty electrical or something like that. Its very sad.If I could I would make the insurance company buy my friend a new trailer because their policy holder was responsible for making him homeless!
i know the person who’s trailer the fire started in and HE”S the one who woke your friend! It was electrical and not his fault!! The man whose trailer burned lost everything too, it’s not his fault your friend didn’t have insurance!! And it started at the electrical outside the trailer at the hook up, maybe the rv park should be investigated??? Check your fact’s before u speak bad of another!!!
I agree with Rudy. The insurance company should do something about the neighbors trailer. Or, he should sue the owner of the original trailer. Something should be done.
