A motorcycle and vehicle accident forced the shut down of the inside lane on Highway 77 for 30 minutes near the south Guthrie exit ramp Friday afternoon.
The accident sent a Guthrie man to a Oklahoma City hospital.
A Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Greg Gibson, of Guthrie, was exiting I-35 north bound while the 2009 Cadillac driven by Herschel Smith, of Spencer, was exiting from the south bound lane. Smith attempted to move to the outside lane on Highway 77 and clipped the motorcycle on the driver’s side in the process.
A friend of the family said Gibson appeared to have suffered a concussion. He was transported to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Gibson was wearing a helmet.
