Motorcyclist mediflighted to hospital following fiery crash

A Logan County man was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital after crashing his Harley Davidson motorcycle, which then caught fire.

The crash occurred at approximately 2:12 p.m. on Monday near Treestump Court and Tumbleweed Trail, about 13 miles southeast of Guthrie. The incident involved a black 2018 Harley Davidson driven by 30-year-old Conner Beaver from Guthrie.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Beaver was riding north on Tumbleweed Trail at an unsafe speed when he lost control of the motorcycle. The vehicle veered off the roadway to the left and subsequently caught fire.

Emergency services, including Guthrie Fire & EMS, Woodcrest Fire Department, and the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, responded swiftly to the scene. Beaver was airlifted by Mediflight to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he was admitted in fair condition with head injuries.

Authorities have noted that Beaver appeared to be in normal condition at the time of the accident. The investigation indicates that the primary cause of the collision was the unsafe speed for the type of roadway.

Logan County Sheriff’s Office reminds all motorists to adhere to speed limits and exercise caution, especially on rural roads that can pose unexpected hazards.
